The desert literally comes to life and bursts into color when Spring comes. It has been so warm (far too early for most of us...even us crazies who like the 100+ degree summer temps) that it seems as though plants have been blooming since December. Right now the Palo Verde trees (our state tree) are blooming all over. The city is awash in yellow...and the sounds of sneezing from almost every human and animal (and to think, in a few months the wash I am standing in will be running with water. This is the preserved land behind our house)!
