Most people who know me would say my happy place is in my craft room or at my sewing machine. True in many ways, however right now in life, this is my happy place (and time) every morning. Before the sun fully rises (this was taken at 5:50am), after a walk, sitting out by the pool and new rose bushes, with my coffee in the cool morning air. It is a sweet time, early morning, here in the desert...the sights, the smells and the sounds.
This morning I have already read several passages and devotions and the one standing out like a neon sign today is I Peter 1:3-9, most particularly, these 2 verses.
1 Peter 1:8-9 ESV
"Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls."
I'm struggling right now to try to figure out what I am perceiving as the end of something in my life, and trying to just give up "fixing" it. This morning outside was a good reminder to not get lost in trying to "fix" something I cannot control, but to "believe and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible". (you would need to be in my head for the full understanding of this thought process) God is good...all the time!
